Einfach besser! ... am Arbeitsplatz
The federal government and cantons support workplace courses for basic skills through the ‘Einfach besser! ... am Arbeitsplatz’ funding programme. These skills include reading, writing, oral communication and digital applications.

Federal requirements

The measure falls within the scope of workplace-related basic skills.

The measure is aimed at employees in permanent employment who need support in basic skills, with no age limit, but takes particular account of the needs of older workers.

The measure concludes with a certificate of participation, which provides information about the skills taught during the measure.

The measure is free of charge for participants and takes place during working hours (or is counted as working time).

The course lasts between 20 and 40 lessons; no more than 4 lessons take place per course day; minimum number of participants per course: 3; maximum number of participants per course: 12.
Target group and funding contribution
Support is provided to company employees who have little or no knowledge of basic skills such as reading, writing, language, arithmetic or computers that are relevant to the workplace.
The federal government supports the courses with CHF 15 per participant per lesson and a lump sum of CHF 3,000 for the development of a tailor-made course concept.
